The greater Accra regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore has donated a six-seater vehicle to the women’s wing of the fishermen council of Tema Fishing harbor to boost their daily activities.
This was a fulfilment of a request made by the fisherfolks when former President, John Dramani Mahama visited the area early this year.
Presenting the car on behalf of President Mahama, the Greater Accra regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore believes that the donation will enhance the daily operations of the group. According to him the gesture is to reaffirm the former president’s commitment to empower women.
On his part, Tema East member pf parliament, Isaac Ashai Obamney also assured of more donation for the other groups in the region while emphasizing the readiness of Tema East to vote massively for John Mahama in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile Member of Parliament for Ada Constituency, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah says the NDC is the only political party which has action-oriented and result-driven policies in advancing the welfare of women.
