Former President of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Dr. James Asare Adjei has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to appoint an industrialist as a replacement for the outgoing Trades Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
His comment comes at the back of the President appointing the Finance Minister, Ken-Ofori Atta as the caretaker minister to the Ministry of Trade and Industry after the substantive appointee resigned to chase his presidential ambition.
On the current economic woes facing the country, the businessman advice the public to explore opportunities in the midst of the challenges confronting the nation. He also called for home grown policies to help avoid over dependent on importation.
Speaking to Pan African Television’s George Yawson Vineh, Mr. Asare Adjei also pledges the business community’s resolve to cooperate with anyone who will be appointed by the president to assume the position of the outgoing Trades Minister.
Allan has started his visit to some key individuals for their blessing as he is determined in winning the NPP flagbearer race.
