The principal of Nkwanta community vocational training institute Mr Bernard Portakey stated that, TVET will help solve the unemployment issue that the country is battling.
According to the principal, Nkwanta Community Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) is not a grammar school where you can only go and learn English but rather a skill school where you will fully be equipped with skills that will make you fit into the area of training and it’s world wide recognize.
He said those that also love to join the security services can also use the certificate which is the National Proficiency 1 to apply for any security service he or she wants in the country.
He added the they are also teaching the learners entrepreneurship where after the school you can establish your self or manage your own business well.
Mr. Portakey further said the people are showing much interest in joining the school, according to him they are given all kinds of skills training but the are having a challenge which they think when the government comes in will help solve.
According to him infrastructure is their challenge, they need enough building for classrooms for the learners.
Wise Bediako who is the administrator of Nkwanta Community Vocational Training Institute also stated in an interview that, TVET is helping an apprentice who is just starting to acquire skills that after the school you will be good to start on your own.
