Promoting peace and development in Nkwanta South municipality SOCO which is a none governmental organization have organized a spotting competition to foster stability, cooperation, and sustainability in the municipality.
According to the planning officer at Nkwanta South municipal assembly, Abass Ibrahim,the project is contributing to the prevention of conflict spillover from the sahelian countries by improving the social and economic resilience of the targeted Northern Regions in the Gulf of Guinea countries (Ghana Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo) .
In Ghana, the SOCO Project is being implemented in six (6) regions in the northern parts of Ghana – namely the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah and Oti Regions. Forty-eight (48) MMDAs are benefitting from the project.

Mr. Ibrahim stated that there is peace in Nkwanta now and any investor who wants to do business or needs a vast land Nkwanta South is ever ready to welcome you.
David Mawupemor Tuglo who is the Municipal director at Nkwanta South Assembly stated that without peace there will not be any development and these games are organized to bring the youths together.
According to the director they youth of Nkwanta South have accepted peace and ready for development.
He added that with dialogues they were able to bring all the youth together under one umbrella.
Mr. Mawupemor congratulate the security in the municipality for their good work.
He stated that, the security with their intelligence and up and down patrols are making sure that everything is under control in the Nkwanta South constituency.
The municipal director then advised the youth not to follow the bad leadership of their fathers which brought up the conflict.
