The Ghana HIV/AIDS Network (GHANET) has taking its awareness creation of the virus to the beaches of Accra following the patronage of the sites in the festive season.
The exercise saw the sharing of over fifty boxes of condoms, over fifty testing kits and free self-testing of HIV/ADIS and council of participants at the beach.
With a surge in HIV/AIDS infection reaching nightmarish proportions, the need for awareness creation in reducing the figures remains crucial.
It is at the backdrop of this the Ghana HIV/AIDS Network has extended its campaign to the beaches of Accra in sensitizing the public on the pandemic.
The President of the Network shared the importance of the exercise, adding that they have shared over fifty boxes of condoms so far.
On his part, Programs manager for the National AIDS control Program, Dr. Stephen Ayisi Addo is hopeful the initiative will enable the Commission to achieve its goal of reducing the alarming data of HIV/AIDS in the country by the close of 2025.
