Nima Youth Call For Abdulsalam Daaru As The Next MP For Ayawaso East Constituency

Across Ayawaso East, the message from the youth is unmistakable: the constituency wants a young leader with experience, proven competence, a track record of community service, and—above all—someone born and bred in Nima who understands the people’s realities. Increasingly, that collective sentiment points to one name: Abdulsalam Mohammed Daaru. Among the youth—who form the backbone of Ayawaso East—he enjoys strong appeal as a mentor, employer, advocate, and role model.

Notably, Abdulsalam served as first Personal Secretary and Aide to the late Nasser Mahama Toure, the first Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East under its current geographic arrangement. In this role, Abdulsalam was deeply involved in educational initiatives, community development action plans, and coordination with statutory authorities. These responsibilities placed him at the very center of constituency governance and service delivery, equipping him with first-hand legislative and administrative experience. Having worked closely with the former MP, constituency executives, traditional leaders, and youth groups, Abdulsalam commands respect across political and generational divides.

Abdulsalam Daaru’s life story is inseparable from Nima and Ayawaso East. He is homegrown—raised by the same streets, schools, and community networks that shape the constituency. This deep connection gives him authenticity and trust, not as a visitor to the community, but as a son of the soil who has consistently given back.

Youthful Energy with Tested Leadership

He currently serves as a Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO) and is the Acting Head of the Nursing and Midwifery Audit Unit at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital—Ghana’s premier tertiary healthcare institution. In this role, he provides strategic leadership in clinical auditing, quality improvement, and health systems strengthening, directly contributing to improved healthcare delivery and accountability.

Global Exposure, Local Commitment

Abdulsalam’s leadership is strengthened by global exposure and professional recognition. He is a Member of the American Public Health Association, a Distinguished Fellow of the U.S. Department of State’s Community Solutions Fellowship Program (2016) with leadership certification from George Mason University. The People’s Best Bet

At this defining moment, Ayawaso East needs leadership that blends local roots with global competence, youthful energy with proven experience, and vision with unity. Abdulsalam Mohammed Daaru stands out not by rhetoric, but by record. For a constituency seeking progress anchored in community values and driven by competent leadership, Abdulsalam Mohammed Daaru is widely seen as the best bet for Ayawaso East’s future.
