Nana Digbengyoo Obirikitibi Amenadu Okordie I, Paramount Chief of Ntrubo North Traditional Area, in an interview stated that, years of conflict have stalled progress, robbed communities of growth, and painted Ghana in a bad light abroad.
According to Nana Obirikitibi, for not robbing or denying the people of conflict areas of development the government have to declare does municipality as chartered so that government can totally have full control over the lands in those areas.
The Paramount Chief has emphasized the need for peace in Nkwanta South, urging those fuelling the conflict to prioritize development over fighting.
Nana Digbengyoo Obirikitibi Amenadu Okordie I added that, in war situation nobody is victorious and appealed to sponsors of the conflict to stop, as it will not benefit anyone but rather destroying the progress of the Municipal.
The Paramount Chief express his readiness for peace talks to resolve the conflict and call on all parties involved to engage in dialogue to find a lasting solution.
