The members of the delegation were; Hon. Frederick Ahinkwah, MP (Member- Parliamentary Select Committee on Lands and Natural Resources), Richard Nunekpeku, Esq. Deputy CEO, Ghana GOLDBOD, Arafat Suleiman, Gold Trader, Dr. Steve Manteaw, Samuel Bekoe, Chris Austen, David and Candice all from the UK-Ghana Program. We were also fortunate to have the company of senior officials of Anglogold Ashanti in Ghana and Tanzania in all our meetings and discussions.
On the first day, we visited the regional commissioner of Geita Region, the Geita District Mining commission office, small scale mining sites and processing facilities in Geita.

On the second day, we had meetings with the senior management of the Geita Gold Mines Ltd accompanied by a site inspection at their operational areas.
On the third day, we visited the State Mining Corporation of Tanzania (STAMICO), we had a fruitful conversation on how the Tanzanian government participates and supports the small scale mining industry in Tanzania.
On the fourth day, we visited the Tanzania Revenue Authority to study how they generate revenue from small scale mining activities, we proceeded to visit the Tanzania Chamber of Mines and later the Bank of Tanzania to have an insight on the role of BOT in the gold trading process.
