The Power Of Social Media And The Untold Stories

By: Godwin Ako Gunn

I saw an apology by a lady popularly known as Agradaa to Sammy Gyamfi and the NDC. Comrades, when a mosquito settles on your balls, you dont treat it as if it settled on your leg. Women may not understand, but let me wish all women a happy Mothers Day, and to agradaa I can only say that avoidance is always better than managing the backlash.

I appreciate all the concerns being shared negatively and positively on social media. I know it’s because of the person involved. My brothers and sisters, until you walk a day in someone’s shoes, be measured in your criticism, and be quick to let go.

Sometimes, I feel pity for Sammy Gyamfi and a lot of our young appointees. I wonder how they manage it. His office is almost always full, and those who know they may not be able to meet him because of time strategically position themselves at his car park before he gets there. This is a daily thing, and I know many appointtees may share in this.

Event grounds have also become another place where others get the opportunity to interact, share their problems, and sometimes put their requests and complains across. For some, you may not be able to tell them to come to the office. If there is an opportunity, you solve it there and then.

Let me use this opportunity to appreciate our young appointtees. Kindly keep it up. So far, so very good. The testimonies and feedback are good. But for those who abuse these opportunities, I beg you, your days may be numbered.

Boss, I know your strength. Don’t allow this to close the page for others who may need you tomorrow because the full story will always remain untold.

Comrades, let’s keep the fire burning, move on, and keep hope alive. There are better days ahead
