Two chainsaw operators arrested in Kyabobo national Park

The national park which is known for its efforts to protect wildlife and rare animal species, there have been reports of illegal chainsaw operations destroying the timber of the forest.

According to Williams Amekor the two people arrested by name David Ayina who is 45 years of age and Abu Joseph 55 years old, were found in the forest reserved cutting down trees.

Williams Amekor who is the law enforcement officer said, national Parks are prohibited places for people to go hunting of animals and tree cutting.

He said the government effort to strengthen tourism in Ghana, which Kyabobo national Park, located in the Oti Region of Ghana is a nice place where tourists can visit is part.

He said, they the officers will make sure they go wild on any person trying to disturb the national Park.

Mr. Amekor there for call on all laws enforcement agencies to help protect the national Parks in the country.
