Klottey-Korle MP and Chairperson of Parliament’s Committee on Security and Intelligence, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has urged young people not to take Ghana’s peace for granted.
Speaking at the National Youth Authority’s National Youth Conference 2025 in Gomoah Fetteh last Thursday, she said peace remains the foundation for national unity and progress.
“The peace we enjoy is what allows us to sit together today — from different ethnic groups, different regions — in harmony. Don’t let anyone take that from you, not a politician, not a traditional leader, not a religious leader. This country can only develop if we recognise that in our diversity lies our strength. Let us tap into that, and ensure Ghana continues to shine as the Black Star of the continent,” Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings stated.
She further called on the youth to see themselves as guardians of national cohesion, stressing that Ghana’s stability and development depend on their resolve to uphold unity and tolerance.
