Ghana To Face Togo, Niger, Benin in WAFU Zone B U20 Championship

The Under 20 men’s football team of Ghana, the Black Satellites, will lock horns with their counterparts from Togo, Benin, and Niger in the 2024 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone B Championship.

The Satellites have been drawn in Group A of the tournament which runs from October 17 to October 31, 2024.

The draw, which was confirmed yesterday, Thursday, September 26, 2024, will see the top two ranked nations progress to the next stage of the tournament after series of power-packed games.

Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Cote D’Ivoire will battle it out in Group B.

The Satellites booked their spot in the tournament following their victory in the 2023 African Games as the host nation.

The 13th African Games also saw the Black Princesses leveraged the opportunity to win gold for the country.

Having won the 2021 AFCON, it is expected Ghana will qualify to the African Championship for the first time.
