DVLA cautions public to take advantage of new registration module

Ahead of registration for car owners in Ghana next year, the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has cautioned the general public to refrain from engaging unauthorized persons popularly known as ‘goro boys’. In an interaction with Pan African Television’s George Yawson Vineh, Public Affairs Manager at DVLA, Francis Asamoah Tuffuor cautioned interested persons who wish to register their cars for the year 2023 to use the new window provided by the authority to avoid any inconvenience.

A statement issued by the authority on Saturday, the DVLA announced new guidelines that vehicle owners would be required to comply with in other to register next year. This is in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulations, 2012 (L.1 2180). In an interview the Public Affairs Manager at DVLA, Francis Asamoah Tuffuor said the new process will help address the usual overcrowding at its registration centres and cautioned the public to use the new window provided by the authority to avoid any inconvenience.

According to him, the new module adopted by the authority will enhance efficiency in their operations and minimize the nefarious activities of Goro Boys’.

The new two procedures for registration is to take effect on January 3, 2023.
