Kudus Mohammed of Ghana won the player of the match award after the Black stars 3-2 victory over South Korea on Monday, 28th 2022.
Kudus was a major offensive threat for the Black Stars in the entire game, scoring a brace. The Ajax attacker was one of Ghana’s standout performers against Portugal, helping to set up Andre Ayew’s equalizer in the second half. But while that effort didn’t lead to a win for Ghana, Monday’s performance did. After Mohammed Salisu gave Ghana a lead in the first half, Kudus increased the advantage and after after South Korea fought back to tie the score at 2-2 in the second half, the 22-year-old capitalized on Inaki Williams’s mistake to score the games winning goal. Kudus recieved the game’s player of the match award after the game.
