Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa wants the legislature to introduce structures that will make legislators more accountable to the people.
He made this disclosure on the back of a directive by the Speaker to refer three lawmakers to the Privileges Committee for absenteeism which was heavily challenged by the Minority Chief Whip of the House who also the lawmaker for Aswase in the Ashanti Region, Alhaji Mumtaka Mubarak Muhammed.
Speaking to journalist in the Ho Municipality, Mr. Ablakwa disagreed with the stance of his Minority Chief Whip cautioning the house to abide by the decision of the speaker.
Further proposes to the house to initiate a well thought laid down structures that will make Parliamentarians more accountable to the people. This he thinks will restore the confident the public have in their representatives in the House.
