With the deepening economic crisis and its attendant consequences, patronage of items has suffered a downward spiral.

An onion seller Adamu Iddi opened up on why the cedi has depreciated marginally against the CFA and its impact on their operations. Mr. Iddi also said they were promised some amenities such as lands, fertilizers etc. to aid them farm internally but government failed to fulfill those promises.
