Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang yesterday convened and chaired an emergency meeting of the Ghana Armed Forces Council following the deadly helicopter crash at Sikaman in the Adansi Akrofuom area.

The meeting addressed the tragic incident and other urgent matters concerning the Armed Forces, with the Vice President and Council members stressing the need for unity and national support during this period of mourning.

After the meeting, the Vice President joined senior government officials and Council members to visit the residence of the late Minister for Defence, offering condolences and pledging support to his family.
In a statement, the Armed Forces Council extended its deepest sympathies to all bereaved families, praying for strength, comfort, and peace for the nation.
