Founder and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen kick-started his Western Regional market tour by making a first stop at the Agona-Nkwanta market of the Ahanta West municipality.

The former Trade and Industry minister, who was mobbed by an elated assemblage of market-folk, bemoaned the duopoly of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress, insisting their governance has been detrimental to Ghanaians.

Speaking on some of the concerns of the market women, Mr. Kyerematen promised that when given the mandate, his administration will ensure the reconstruction of the market to suit modern designs and accommodate the needs of the traders.

“This market needs a clinic. It deserves a child care centre. It deserves a bank, so that when you need a loan, you can easily walk in to acquire some.”

The 2024 Presidential hopeful was critical of the need to elect a leader who has the interest of market women at heart and, according to him, he perfectly fits the bill.

He therefore pleaded with the market women to remember him come December 7 when they go to the polls to elect a president.

Alan Kyerematen proceeded to markets in Kwesimintsim, Shama, Kojokrom, and Atsaaban to trumpet his Great Transformational Plan (GTP); a policy initiative which seeks to transform the country and improve the economy through industrialisation.
