The member of parliament for Krachi East Hon. Nelson Kofi Djabab cut sod for emergency and accident unit at Dambai polyclinic.
According to the Hon.
Lawmaker, it is very important as a health facility to have a proper emergency and accident unit.
He stated that Krachi East lost a prominent person who is the former MCE of Krachi East who collapsed at Dambai Training college of education, according to the MP the former MCE lost his life due to the state of the emergency and accident unit at Dambai polyclinic.
The lawmaker added that the emergency and accident unit that is going to be built will be 30 bed capacity.
The MP also organized a health screening for the people of Krachi East for free. According to the lawmaker the screening is about kidney, typhoid and they will also run some other tests for the people.
Berchie Samuel who is the Director of AVMARG SOLUTIONS and international member of RENES SANAE FOUNDATION Stated in an interview that, he and his team are in Krachi East to help the Hon. MP with the health screening and they also came with the engineer that will see to the building of the emergency and accident unit, who is in the person Eric Awuah Darfour.
Dr. Mavis Amfo who is the medical Doctor of Dambai polyclinic stated that the facility is currently struggling with infrastructure, according to her the male ward is currently been used as the accident and emergency,two in one ward.
According to Dr. Mavis Amfo what the Hon. Member of parliament is cutting sod for is going to help the facility a lot.
The Doctor added that the health facility really needs more help and she is appealing to NGOs and philanthropist to come to their aid.
