Independent Presidential aspirant, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has launched an initiative aimed at uniting all Muslim communities in Ghana.
Dubbed ‘ZUMUNTA’ for Alan, the move is a key component of his campaign strategy to consolidate support within the Muslim population and enhance his visibility and chances of winning the upcoming elections.
The word ‘ZUMUNTA’ which means “unity” is an initiative by the Movement for Change which seeks to address specific concerns of the Muslim community, provide a unified platform for their voices, and boost their political engagement.
Speaking at the launch of the initiative, Mr. Kyerematen emphasized the importance of unity and collective action. “Today, we embark on a new chapter of solidarity and progress. ZUMUNTA is not just about gathering as a community but about driving meaningful change and ensuring that the Muslim voice is not only heard but influential in shaping our nation’s future,” he stated.
The National Youth Co-coordinator of Movement for Change, Balah Salifu Meikanka, also reiterated his task to ensure victory for Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen and the development of all Muslim communities. He says “ both the NPP and NDC has not been fair to the people of Ghana and the Muslim community. Therefore, we the Muslim community in Ghana will be coming together to galvanize for vote for Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, since we believe he has better plans for the Zongo communities”
The launch was attended by numerous community leaders, members of the Muslim faith, and party sympathizers.
As the Movement for Change gears up for the upcoming elections, the success of ZUMUNTA could play a crucial role in shaping the campaign’s trajectory and securing a broad base support.
