A total of 37,000 candidates across the country are sitting for this year’s examination. Of the number, 5,000 are rewriting the exam while 32,000 are writing it for the first time. During his visit, the Minister interacted with candidates and encouraged them to give off their best, stressing government’s commitment to support aspiring teachers through policy reforms. By Stanley Kwabla Arku The Ministry of Education says it is stepping up efforts to rescue Ghana’s struggling basic schools through a new accountability system and targeted reforms under the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP).
