With Ghana’s workforce navigating through economic challenges amidst calls by labour unions for improved conditions of service and fair wages, a budding journalist Daniel Kwabena Asare has made a passionate appeal for ex-gratia reserved for certain government appointees and public servants to be extended to ordinary workers.
According to him, the move will strategically improve standard of living and enhance their income sustainably.
“You pay me well, I work well, Comrade Yaw Adinkra well-spoken on the afore topic for today’s programme. As a matter of fact, the ordinary Ghanaian worker must be paid exgratia as well I side with you, for workers are in misery looking at the statistics you’ve laid out, workers salary is nothing good to write home about” he said.
