According to her, fulfillment of promises will boost the success and sustainability of businesses across the country. Ghana’s Electoral Commission declared ex-President and main opposition leader John Dramani Mahama winner of the presidential election with 6, 238, 397 votes representing 56.55% of the votes. His main rival, Vice President and ruling-party presidential candidate Mahamudu Bawumia, graciously conceded defeat to defuse tensions. By: Daniel Asare The Okada Riders Association of Ghana have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Ghana Police Service for perceived highhandedness dished out to some of their members. National President of the Association, Michael Kofi Owusu has entreated the Police hierarchy to deal with this exceedingly worrying trend as a matter of urgency.  “Everybody knows in Ghana that, the okada riders association, we have declare our support for the President in waiting, his Excellency John Dramani Mahama based on his promises made to them as  riders”says Mr. Owusu ORAG National President, Michael Kofi Owusu further reports a rider was arrested and assaulted by police for accidentally stopping cars for former President John Dramani Mahama during a tour in Accra.

By: Daniel Asare Residents of Buoho in the Afigya Kwabre south district of the Ashanti Region have had their homes and properties damaged following a blast at a quarry company operating in the area. The blast reportedly caused damage to electronic gadgets including television sets in the affected households. The affected houses are located in close proximity to the KAS Quarry Company which has been operating in the area for years. Blasting activities from the quarry often send waves of panic and fear through the community.
