By Maxwell Woyram Tsigbe The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has launched the pilot phase of the 24-Hour Economy programme to kickstart the initiative in the downstream petroleum sector. The programme which is targeted at 268 fuel stations, 8 depots, and 2 refineries will set into full force operational expansion aimed at transitioning the energy sector into a round-the-clock service delivery cycle. Beginning from the Greater Accra region, the rollout also extends to the Ashanti, Western and Northern regions to ensure uninterrupted nationwide distribution and easy access to petroleum products. The 8 depots include BOST Depot in Kumasi; APD in Tema; Tema Tank Farm (TTF); Tema Fuel Company (TFC); Vana Energy, Tema; Quantum Terminals, Tema; Ghanstock Depot, Takoradi, as well as Zen Terminals in Takoradi.

Wednesday May 13, 2026 Story by George Yawson Vineh The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET) has announced that a total of 61,506 candidates from both public and private technical institutions across the country will sit for the 2026 May/June Technical and Vocational Education and Training examinations beginning May 18, 2026. According to the Commission, the examinations will run from May 18 to June 12, with 59,754 candidates writing the Certificate II examinations while 1,754 candidates will participate in other traditional TVET examinations. The figure represents an 8.06 percent increase compared to last year’s 55,295 candidates.
