The National Democratic Congress has announced May 13, 2023 as the date for both Presidential and Parliamentary primaries of the party. This was announced by the party’s General Secretary, Fiifi Fiave Kwetey at the Party’s headquarters in a press conference held earlier today.
As the party slates May 13, 2023 for its presidential and parliamentary primaries, it also fixed an amount of GHC.5, 000.00 and GHC. 30, 000.00 respectively for picking of forms for any candidate who wishes to contest in either the Presidential or parliamentary primaries. A GHC. 40,000 and GHC.500, 000.00 is also expected from both Parliamentary and Presidential candidates as filing fee.
The party further stressed that all the aforementioned amounts are non-refundable.
The party has also indicated some guidelines for aspirants who may want to contest the upcoming primaries.
Speaking to Pan African Television’s George Yawson Vineh, former presidential aspirant, Sylvester Mensah disclosed that he has no intentions of contesting but rather called on all to rally their supports behind former President, John Dramani Mahama.
