Global Infoanalytics A Credible Research Organisation – Kwesi Pratt Jnr. Asserts

Managing editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr., has waded into the survey conducted by Global InfoAnalytics for the upcoming December 7 general elections and the outright rejection of the survey by the ruling New Patriotic Party.

According to the veteran journalist, who is also the General Secretary of the Socialist Movement of Ghana, the rejection of the outcome of the polls by the NPP beggars belief because Global InfoAnalytics has a doubtless reputation for conducting credible polls with an almost exact predicted outcome playing out in recent elections.

“Between the Bawumia campaign and Global InfoAnalytics, who should we trust?” he quizzed.

Pratt further went ahead to list a litany of predictions made by the research organization in past elections, including the recently held NPP Presidential primaries and Assin North by-election, while placing the figures side by side against that of the predictions of the New Patriotic Party in those elections.

“In the Presidential primaries, the Bawumia campaign predicted a 70% victory for Bawumia; it didn’t happen, some people even predicted 80%; it didn’t happen. If you take the Assin North election, the NPP prediction didn’t happen. So between the Bawumia campaign and Global InfoAnalytics, I would find Global InfoAnalytics more credible,” he argued.

He, however, asked the National Democratic Congress to be wary and not believe that all is sealed as a lot could still happen before the elections on December 7.

He admonished the NDC to refrain from making comments that have the tendency to plunder its electoral fortunes. “The things that decide victory can happen at the spur of the moment. One reckless statement from the left of the NDC and the NDC is heading into the gutters, just one. It is therefore important that especially those around the leader of the NDC shut up if they don’t have anything sensible to say.”

Kwesi Pratt Jnr. also disclosed that it appears some persons close to the former president have the erroneous impression that the election has already been won and all that is left to do is to share the spoils. He counselled them to, therefore, exercise caution to not scupper their chances in the very crucial December elections.
