OTTO ADDO NAMES 23-MAN SQUAD FOR 2025 AFCON QUALIFIERS

A 23-man Black Stars squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025) qualifiers against Angola and Niger has been unveiled by Otto Addo – Head Coach of the male senior national team.

The squad will commence preparation for the two qualifiers by camping on Monday, September 2, 2024.

The matches which are scheduled for early next month will see the Black Stars lock horns with their counterparts from Angola on Thursday, September 5 in Kumasi (home game) at 4 o’clock pm local time (16:00 GMT).

Their encounter with Niger comes off on September 9 in Berkane, Morocco (away game, 15:00 GMT) due to unavailable FIFA standard playing field in Niger.

FORWARDS:

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Joseph Paintsil, Ibrahim Osman, Antoine Semenyo, Inaki Williams, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Jordan Ayew

However, captain Andre Ayew and Daniel Amartey have been excluded from the squad. Returning to the squad is Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams and Thomas Partey who will assume the captaincy of the team for both clashes.
