The Anyaa Sowutuom Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have set the record straight and responded to what they describe as a blatant misinformation and biased reportage presented in a recent constituency projects comparison on the Anyaa Sowutuom constituency by an Accra based TV station (Adom Television).
According to the party, the project analysis comparison was clearly designed to undermine the significant achievements of the NDC government in the constituency and was riddled with inaccuracies, half truths and deliberate distortions of facts.
Anyaa Sowutuom, located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana is one of the constituencies that broke away from the now defunct Weija constituency and includes areas like Ablekuma, Awoshie, Santa-Maria and others.
Addressing the media at the Anyaa Sowutuom Yam market, constituency secretary of the party, Edem Asamoah Attachie vehemently stated that, the lack of specificity of projects undertaken by the NPP in the area indicates the report’s bias and lack of credibility.
“We noted that the project analysis failed to specify the exact locations of the projects purportedly undertaken by the NPP government. The fact that it could not point out the exact location suggests that the motive behind the report was to misinform the people of Anyaa Sowutuom and the country at large, Edem said.”
He also highlighted the factual account of the numerous successes and developmental projects undertaken by the NDC administration in the Anyaa Sowutuom constituency.
“The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is proud to highlight its achievements in the health sector in the Anyaa Sowutuom constituency. Despite the NPP government’s abandonment of these projects, we remain committed to quality healthcare for our people, Edem detailed.”
