I write to categorically debunk in the strongest terms, the grossly misleading video circulating on Metro Tv social media platforms and other media networks, which falsely alleges ongoing illegal mining activities in the Ellembelle constituency.
This scurrilous claim is a deliberate and malicious attempt by faceless individuals to exploit the media and tarnish the impeccable reputation of our industrious Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah.
These are the indisputable facts pertaining to the said video:
- The footage in question was recorded on September 29, 2024, in the community of Anwia, located in the Ellembelle district, during the previous administration of the NPP.
- The illegal mining activities depicted in the video were orchestrated by well-known galamsey kingpins associated with the NPP.
- It is worthy to however note that, there are currently no illegal mining operations ongoing at the cited location, through the proactive measures implemented by the minister to combat the menace.
We strongly urge the general public to utterly disregard this deceitful narrative.
