National Peace Council Director Paul Akonor visit three schools in Nkwanta South, namely Nkwanta Community Day Senior High Technical School, Yabobo Girls school and Nkwanta Senior High School.
According to Mr. Paul Akonor the visit is about promoting none violence in schools. He said school must not take school laws into their hands and all students must obey the rules and regulations of their schools.
He also added that it is said seeing students fighting with their teachers. He also advised the students to be peace ambassadors but not promoters of violence.
Ahmed Bashiru yakubu, right to information officer at Oti Coordinating Council stated that it is peace that will make the democracy work well in a country and it is peace that will bring development to a country or a town.
According to Mr. Ahmed, people Nkwanta must embrace peace so that investors can have their way to the constituency.He also said when there is no unity amongst the people of Nkwanta even the government will not bring any State property to the town.
Atiemo Emmanuel who is the headmaster of Nkwanta Community Day Senior High Technical School stated that school should report to the authorities of the school if they are not getting something right or if they is an issue. He also advised the students to avoid destroying school properties.
