Otumfuo’s Assinhene, Nana Yaw Akuoko Appeals To Gov’t For Sustainable Support

Otumfuo’s Assinhene, Nana Yaw Akuoko has urged government to sustain TVET education in the country.

Delivering a speech at the seventh graduation ceremony of Flash Prime Institute in Accra, he further intimated that the move will equip young people with employable skills and enhance their intellectual abilities.

The auspicious and colorful ceremony themed:

“The practice of today is tomorrow’s future” was graced by dignitaries drawn from the academia, chieftaincy, religious and political circles.

Students who excelled creditably in media, fashion and cosmetology were duly honoured for their academic exploits.

In an interview, Assinhene of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Nana Yaw Akuoko entreated government to invest and sustain the Technical Vocational Education and Training in Ghana.

“The Purpose of Todays programme is to graduate students who enrolled in this school and have completed their course of study. You see off-late there are inadequate vacancies in Ghana, What I want to say to his Excellency the President is that, since he is interested in Apprenticeships and even has a program that want to train people to acquire skills so that they can usher them into the field of work, I Believe the President has to look at places like this” he said.

Some students also shared expressed delight after undergoing academic and holistic training in the institution.
