5/09/2024 Questions arise following the victory of the immediate past Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah as the party’s presidential candidate for the upcoming 2024 general elections. The flagbearer contest which was between the party’s former Chairperson and a private legal practitioner, Nana Yaw Anokye Frimpong as the only contenders in the race, gave reasons to party sympathisers and the public to mull over the absence of the 2020 presidential candidate, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet on the ballot. Clouded in this billow of uncertainty, one is compelled to believe that Mr. Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has equally lost interest in holding the forefront for the CPP as did Paa Kwesi Nduom in past election seasons. But is that really the case?

Addressing Parliament, the former Minority leader stressed on the importance of these officers having access to motorcades due to the exception al nature of their mandate hence called for the instrument to be amended accordingly. He raised the concern when the Road Traffic Amendment Regulations 2024 was presented in Parliament to be layed before the Subsidiary legislation committee for the constitutionally required 21-Parliamentary sitting

BY: DANIEL OTU ASANTE                                                                                                          05-09-2024                   A confrontation erupted on Wednesday 4th  September 2024, at the Ministry of Finance as the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Brigade, a youth group affiliated with the main opposition National Democratic Congress, clashed with security personnel. The ORAL Brigade gathered at the Finance Ministry to protest alleged financial mismanagement under the Akufo-Addo-led Government. The ORAL Brigade, predominantly made up of NDC’s youth wing members, staged the protest to demand accountability and transparency from the Akufo-Addo led administration. According to the group, government has engaged in significant financial irregularities, prompting them to intensify their calls for scrutiny in recent weeks. At the center of the protest is the controversial USD 34.9 million Ambulance Spare Parts deal, which the
