10/9/2024 Flagbearer of the All `People’s Congress (APC), Dr. Hassan Ayariga has thrown a challenge to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to engage him in a presidential debate ahead of the general elections in December this year. The declaration of his intention was necessitated by the current economic hardship which continues to take a toll on citizens’ livelihood and socioeconomic activities, a situation he claimed has led to the involvement and addiction to gambling by both the unemployed and gainfully employed youth alike. Dr. Ayariga’s assertions were contained in a brief speech that preceded the official unveiling of Rev. Dr. Samuel Worlanyo Mensah as his running mate for the 2024 general elections.
