Promoting peace and development in Nkwanta South municipality SOCO which is a World Bank and Ghana government-funded project has organized a sports competition to foster stability, cooperation, and sustainability in the municipality. According to the planning officer at Nkwanta South municipal assembly, Abass Ibrahim,the project is contributing to the prevention of conflict spillover from the sahelian countries by improving the social and economic resilience of the targeted Northern Regions in the Gulf of Guinea countries (Ghana Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo) .
