Dunkwa Government Hospital appeals for support and assistance

Medical Superintendent for Dunkwa Government Hospital sited in the Upper Denkyira East Muncipality of the Central Region, Dr. John Benjamin Annan has called on benevolent individuals and institutions to support and assist the facility with items to ensure quality health delivery.

Neonatal jaundice is common condition in new-born babies.

Phototherapy is often used to reduce levels of unconjugated bilirubin that may result in acute or chronic brain damage but the method is now used to treat babies at Dunkwa Government Hospital in the Central Region.

According to Medical Superintendent of the facility, the situation is exceedingly worrying and has necessitated calls for support and assistance.

He made this during a visit by the Dunkwa-Mfuom Roman Catholic church to donate some hospital equipment to the Children Ward of the hospital.

He also urged Ghanaians to prioritize their health and general well-being since it is crucial to their longevity.

Meanwhile, Church Secretary of Dunkwa Mfuom Catholic Church Bernard Obeng Nuamah Church said, the donation formed part of their corporate responsibility.
