Chief Executive Officer of the Gaming Community, Peter Mireku, has revealed that the responsible gaming month initiative is aimed at protecting players and ensuring the industry remains sustainable.
He made the aforesaid statements on the sidelines of the official launch of Gaming Awareness Month here in Accra.
In Ghana Gaming has become more than just a leisure activity. It has become a robust industry getting bigger every day. With Vast users jumping onto Gaming platform from all walks of life has called for the need for responsible Gaming practices in the country.
The Chief Executive of the Gaming commission, Peter Mireku opined that “Gaming should be enjoyed as a leisure activity and not as a business nor profit, notwithstanding their aimed for this initiative is to protect those into betting activities so far the Gaming community is concerned is to bet responsibly since they look at the social aspect of it as well” he said.
He further said in as much as they are looking out for revenue generation to boost Ghana’s economy there is the need to sanitize the Gaming community.
As Gaming continues to expand across Ghana, responsible Gaming month initiative is very essential to ensure exciting gaming does not follow up with unprecedented catastrophically issues.
