As courtesy demands, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah paid homage to Royal Majesty, Ndaa Ya Naa Abubakari II, the overlord of Dagbon Traditional Areas.
In a tight engagement, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah called on the Overlord to speak on national issues regarding the upcoming elections :
“I have been to the palaces of the three 3 prominent kingdoms in Northern Regions, and I made some appeals to the other two 2 overlords, I will repeat it again here” He emphasised.
“Any conflict arising from the upcoming elections will have reputational and integrity stains on the Northern Regions since both candidates are from the northern sector :””There are unseen hands who want the election to bring conflicts so they can blame the Northern people for not capable in leading the country per their long standing stigma and perceived mindset”. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah wisely explained to the conviction of the Overlord.
Speaking on the Electoral challenges, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah indicated, “Nana Addo’s utterances predetermining the outcomes of the upcoming elections and it is important we don’t gumble with the peace of Ghana. But we in NDC shall not allow Nana Addo and EC to subverting the will of Ghanaians on 7th December”. He assured the Overlord.
Speaking on a thief pretending to be innocent when caught, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah this stated regarding NPP, “NPP orders that they will demonstrate against EC if they allow for ‘Forensic Audit’ is a full acceptance that a lot is wrong and many hidden conscious strategies deployed by NPP and EC bosses to disfranchise many eligible voters”
The Royal Majesty, Abubakari II of Dagbon Traditional areas in his address acknowledged all the concerns raised by Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and promised to take actions, but called for patience and peace.
Rallying supports for the Hon. PC Abdul-Fataw Alhasssan (Lawyer Jofa), Chairman General Mosquito vividly explained to the masses why Yendi communities must change their voting loyalty to NPP.
“You vote for development and not just for voting sake. All your projects were done by NDC government, the Eastern corridor roads by NDC and many more. So what are you voting for voting for if you still have water challenges in Yendi communities in this 8 years NPP government??”.. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah questioned.
In highlighting some visionary policies by JM and Jane NDC government for Yendi in particular, he pointed out to, New Hospital to be built, Extensive Treated Water System, completion of Eastern Corridor Roads, employment through 24hr jobs creation.
The heavy rains at Yendi areas couldn’t prevent the determining youth who want change of government to better their lives from attending the programs though drenched.
