Ashiaman gets its share of DVLA Ultra Center to boost service delivery.

In a significant move to decentralize and modernize vehicular services, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has officially commissioned the Ashaiman Ultra Center.
Led by the Chief Executive and his deputies, the high-profile event marked a milestone in the Authority’s commitment to bringing efficient, world-class services closer to the doorsteps of Ghanaians.
A Strategic Partnership
The new facility operates under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, reflecting a modern approach to infrastructure development. This Ultra Center is strategically positioned to alleviate the pressure on existing offices by serving:

• The entire Ashaiman municipality.

• Key surrounding industrial and residential enclaves in Tema.

Acknowledging Local Leadership

The successful completion of the project was attributed to the seamless collaboration between the government and local stakeholders. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Hon. Ernest Norgbey, the Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), whose joint efforts ensured the project remained a priority for the community.
Special recognition was also given to the Chief of Ashaiman for his traditional leadership and blessings, as well as the private partner whose investment and expertise made the “Ultra” vision a reality.

Gratitude to the Youth
Perhaps the most vital stakeholders acknowledged during the ceremony were the Youth of Ashaiman. Speakers praised the young people of the area for their immense patience and unwavering support throughout the construction phase. Their cooperation was cited as a key factor in ensuring the project was delivered without communal friction.

What to Expect
The Ashaiman Ultra Center is expected to significantly reduce turnaround times for:

1. Driver’s license renewals and applications.

2. Vehicle registration and inspection.

3. Digitalized record management for local motorists

With the doors now open, the center stands as a testament to what can be achieved when national agencies, local leaders, and private investors work in harmony for the public good.
