Asantehene Concerned Over The Economic Hardship In The Country. Two Kumasi Based Armed Robbers Sentenced To 20 Years Imprisonment Each LOCAL NEWS by George Vineh Yawson - June 14, 2022November 12, 20240 Two armed robbers who were arrested by the police in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region have been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment each for robbery. The two Emeka Opara and Samuel Kalo, were arrested on May 30, 2022, following their attack on a victim at ECOBANK, Abrepo Junction, where they succeeded in bolting with a bag containing an amount of Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 30, 000.00). The Police were able to retrieve the GH₵ 30, 000.00 and successfully prosecute them. The survey which focused on the first quarter of 2022 revealed that Ghanaians will repose confidence in the former President come 2024. Speaking on Pan African Television’s Talk Time Show, Executive Director of the opinion poll institution, Mussa Dankwah predicted a 53% win for John Mahama compared to Vice President Bawumiah who will poll 30%.
