CHAN 2024 Scheduled For February 2025; CAF Announces

17/9/2024 President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe has confirmed that the 2024 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) will be held from February 1 – 28, 2025. The continent’s football governing body made the announcement following a CAF Executive Committee meeting in Nairobi, Kenya on Monday, September 16, 2024. The first round of qualifiers is set for the weekend of 25-27 October, 2024. 17/9/2024 The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reported the conduct of betting companies to the Gaming Commission. The betting platforms cited in the GFA's report have engaged in unauthorised betting on matches organized and sanctioned by the Ghana Football Association. The Football Association has requested for urgent assistance from the Gaming Commission to investigate the companies and take appropriate steps to ensure that they cease and desist from offering unauthorised betting services on the Association's matches. The Gaming Commission Ghana is responsible for issuing licenses to all gaming operators and permits to companies and individuals that wish to run promotions with elements of game of chance. The IES Market scan identifies Star Oil, Zen Petroleum, and Benab Oil as the OMCs offering the lowest prices over the last two weeks.
