Yesterday, Sunday 6th February, 2022, I held a stakeholder meeting with group of Queen Mothers in my Constituency at my residence, Agona Kwanyako.
The Queen Mothers visits was to congratulate me and to express their support for me in particular and Agona East at large.
We discussed the welfare of the youth, women, children and the vulnerable in the society. The meeting was timely because of the critical role Queen Mothers play in their various communities and we all agreed that we will collaborate to champion the course of the youth especially the single mothers between the ages of 15 to 25.
I stressed the need for a collaboration between my Office and Queen Mothers in solving things that have adverse effect on youth, women and children such as teenage pregnancy, early and forced marriages, school dropout among others.
I urged the Queen Mothers to use their influence to spear head these campaigns aimed at addressing these practices in order to bridge the inequality gap.
We exchanged gifts, advice, ideas and had fun.
The Oman Hemaa of Agona Nsaba Traditional Council who doubles as the President of the Central Regional Queen Mothers Association *Nana Adjoa Nkansah Eduam III* on behalf of the Queen Mothers appreciated the partnership established and also made an appeal for a bus for Queen Mothers in Agona East.
It is our hope that the collaboration with key stakeholders such as our cherished Queen Mothers will continue for the betterment of Agona East Constituency.
Indeed our God is Good.
