MAKING ACCRA CLEAN PROJECT: PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO OUTDOORS 126 WASTE MANAGEMENT AND DISINFECTION TRUCKS

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has outdoored one hundred state of the art waste management trucks and some disinfection equipment at a brief and colourful ceremony here in Accra.

The equipment procured by waste management firm Zoomlion Ghana Limited is to enhance the work of government in battling poor sanitation within Accra and its environs.

In a quest to sanitize Accra and its environs, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has outdoored five-hundred new technological powered trucks in partnership with Jospong Group of Companies to improve waste management in the country.

According to him, government has provided an enabling environment through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to make this work and has provided investment opportunities for the private sector to advantage of.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies Dr. Joseph Siaw-Agyapong underscored the support received by the NPP government in making sure Accra becomes the cleanest city in Africa.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey also promised to launch a bye-law, Operation Clean Your Frontage to compliment government’s efforts in addressing poor sanitation within Accra.
