A team led by the local government, Decentralization and rural development minister, Dan Kweku Botwe after visiting the Kumasi Composite and Recycling plant in Kumasi last Friday has expressed satisfaction with operations of the plant,
The working visit was to help the Minister and his team familiarize themselves with operations of both KCRP and the Wastewater Treatment Plant since its commissioning in 2020, and promised governments continues collaboration with Jospong Group of Companies.
Addressing the media after the tour at the plant, the Sector Minister who double as the Member of Parliament for Okere in the Eastern region, Dan Kweku Botwe impressed with ongoing expansion exercise of the composite plant by Jospong Group stressing that it will help cater for the growing waste in the Greater Kumasi area.
Continuing, the Minister indicated his resolve to ensure that Parks and Gardens which falls under his ministry collaborates with Jospong Group of Companies to help the state agency green the country using processed compost and fertilizers produced FROM the Kumasi Composite Plant.
“you would have taken notice of the fact that early this year, we doing everything to revamp Parks and Gardens. We gave them brand new trucks, water tankers, mowers and other things. I am aware that Jospong Group of Companies also gave them water tankers too some time ago, out of their cooperate social responsibility”, he added.
The Executive Chairman for Jospong Group, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong thanked the minister for making time out of his busy schedules to visit the company, contended that his group has a very good relationship with the ministry.
