The National Communication officer of the opposition National Democratic Party, Sammy Gyamfi at a press conference earlier today has rejected call by the president not to politicize the fight against galamsey following the president’s comment on a political platform in 2016 to promote illegal mining.
This comes a day after President Akufo-Addo met with the leadership of the National House of Chiefs and the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to discuss the illegal mining menace.
Adding that attempt by the president in shifting blames won’t hold and describe the moves as total failure and demand the following from the president.
