Leader Of APC Describes The Recent Hike In Utilities Tariffs As Worrying LOCAL NEWS by George Vineh Yawson - September 2, 2022November 12, 20240 Leader of All Peoples Congress Dr. Hassan Abdulai Ayariga has described the recent hike in utility tariffs as worrying and believes that the two utility companies are underperforming. His comment comes following the increment which took effect today September 1, 2022. Water and electricity tariffs have shot up by 21per cent and 27.15 per cent in that order by the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission and took effect today. This follows a proposal by the two utility companies a few months ago to enable them deliver better for their customers.
