Speaking at the ceremony in Sunyani, Mr. Iddrisu said the investment, secured under the GETFund, is aimed at easing the accommodation crisis facing students. He explained that in 2023, government began the construction of 45 hostels across 46 Colleges of Education, but progress has been uneven. “Nine of the projects are nearing completion, 11 have made steady progress, while 25 have stalled,” he disclosed. The Ministry urged Ghanaians at home and abroad to verify all information directly from official sources, including the Ministry’s website, accredited media, and verified social media platforms. It further advised individuals seeking consular services to engage only with designated officers at the Ministry or Ghana’s accredited Missions abroad.
