The 9th Sustainability & Social Investment Awards has honoured companies and individuals whose work continues to shape Ghana’s sustainable development landscape, highlighting the growing link between business success and responsible corporate practice.
The ceremony, held under the theme “Sustainable Growth for All: Balancing Economic Progress, Social Equity and Environmental Stewardship,” brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and sustainability advocates to celebrate initiatives that are setting new benchmarks for ethical and environmentally conscious operations.

Minister of Labour, Jobs and Employment, Dr. Abdul-Rashid 9th Sustainability & Social Investment Awards Celebrate Excellence in Responsible BusinessPelpuo, commended the awardees for demonstrating that economic expansion and social responsibility can coexist. He urged businesses to commit more resources to green and sustainable job creation, stressing that such investments are now essential to national development.
“We need stronger and deliberate investment in sustainable jobs. The companies we honour today show that when businesses prioritise the environment and social welfare, the impact is felt across communities and the economy,” Dr. Pelpuo said.

Organisers described the awards as a strategic platform that encourages companies to elevate their standards and adopt practices that support long-term national goals. They noted that recognising good models inspires more organisations to align their operations with sustainability principles.
“Our aim is to spotlight institutions that are walking the talk. By celebrating them, we create a wider movement where responsible business becomes a norm rather than an exception,” the organising team stated.

Award recipients expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying it reinforces their commitment to deepening sustainability initiatives within their organisations.
“This honour motivates us to do more. It reaffirms that the effort we put into environmental protection and community welfare is making a real difference,” an excited awardee shared.
This year’s event once again underscored how sustainability is shaping the future of corporate practice in Ghana, with more companies embracing policies that balance profit with positive social and environmental impact.
