The National Communication officer of the opposition National Democratic Party, Sammy Gyamfi at a press conference earlier today has rejected call by the president not to politicize the fight against galamsey following the president’s comment on a political platform in 2016 to promote illegal mining. This comes a day after President Akufo-Addo met with the leadership of the National House of Chiefs and the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to discuss the illegal mining menace.
