One Arrested For Attempted Motorbike Robbery At Agorve Near Akatsi LOCAL NEWS by George Vineh Yawson - January 21, 2022November 12, 20240 The Volta Regional Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old Eyram Botwe, alleged to have attempted robbing a Haujue motorbike from a commercial rider at Agorve near Akatsi in the region. Eyram Botwe is currently in police custody assisting the Akatsi District Police in their investigations. Eyram Botwe was arrested on Wednesday January 19, 2022 by members of Agorve community after he sprayed pepper-powder into the eyes of a commercial motor rider, causing both the suspect (pillion) and the rider to fall to the ground. Eyram engaged the services of the rider to convey him from AKatsi to Agorveh. Drivers At Tema Station Concerned Over Emergence Of New Variant AFRICA NEWS LOCAL NEWS by George Vineh Yawson - December 15, 2021November 12, 20240 Some members of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union at Tema station, have expressed concerns over the negligence of passengers in adhering to COVID-19 protocols amidst the discovery of the new Omicron Variant. According to them, this attitude by passengers, may be due to the low level of education on COVID-19 by government. Some drivers disclosed their ignorance about the new variant to Pan African TV News and advised that government should sensitize the public not only in English, but other dialects, on the dangers of the Omicron variant especially in this festive season.
