While grazing, they heard a gunshot and later detected that one of their cattle had been shot dead. An initial search for the assailant by the herdsmen in the bushes proved futile. Eyram Botwe was arrested on Wednesday January 19, 2022 by members of Agorve community after he sprayed pepper-powder into the eyes of a commercial motor rider, causing both the suspect (pillion) and the rider to fall to the ground. According to them, this attitude by passengers, may be due to the low level of education on COVID-19 by government. Some drivers disclosed their ignorance about the new variant to Pan African TV News and advised that government should sensitize the public not only in English, but other dialects, on the dangers of the Omicron variant especially in this festive season.
